The village of Selia takes its name from the word saddle; hence it straddles an outcrop of mountainside overlooking the popular town of Plakias.
From here there are views along the south coast as far as the islands of Paximadia and out across the Mediterranean Sea. Selia is a pretty traditional working village, famous for its ‘Seliano’ Cheese, a type of feta made from a mixture of sheep and goats milk, renowned throughout Greece. The village has excellent amenities, 3 cafes, a taverna, an interesting museum, an art gallery and several shops including a supermarket and a silversmith’s workshop.
This is a sought after location, just 3km from the beach, with little property available in the area, it is becoming a hot spot for investment as well as being one the prettiest locations on the south coast. The plot is located just on the edge of the village within easy walking distance of all the village amenities and its friendly community.
